about

Well, this is the new era of music I'm hoping to expand upon. Remixes such as Wii Bowling Intro and First Steps did have that space-y feel, but Foresaken Odyssey is the official beginning of my transition to a style that feels more like myself. I pride myself in producing music that is distinct from others, and this year I hope will be the definition of that. Going back to the song itself, when producing Foresaken Odyssey (along with other tracks), it felt like the perfect fresh start to what my music output will look like from this year. The theming of this is about beginning your own personal journeys in life (whether big or small) that is unseen from the public eye. It blends effectively with the more experimental sound design, something which I enjoyed working on a lot. The track was make-or-break with what unique resonances I could add, and it succeeded in the end. It's general flow feels quite open, yet with a clear intro/middle/outro. Also, the outro in general I love; modulating the cutoff of the bass gave it such an alien feel that it needed to be present. And that final tick ending the track off with reverb... oh yeah. Personally, Foresaken Odyssey felt like a sandbox in what I could begin to explore in my new style of work, and I am looking forward to expanding upon that philosophy in future releases. Also, get used to having titles seem slightly off in terms of spelling (i.e. "forsaken" as "foresaken"), it's just a fun stylistic touch I add on to give the tracks individual identity. Anywho, I really hope y'all like Foresaken Odyssey, and I'm thankful for the support in general for my music; lets hope it only gets better from here!

about

Metris UK

Hi, I'm Metris. I sort of got into music back in 2019 with mashups here and there, but truly began my music production journey in April 2020 with a demo of FL Studio 20. The music I produce combines EDM elements with more plenitudal sounds, the genre falling under 'Chill'. To this day, I continue to experiment with my work, and hope my efforts improve throughout my future. ... more
